‘…Underneath are the everlasting arms….’ Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV

Addressing the nation of Israel for the last time, Moses told them, ‘There is no one like the God of Israel. He rides across the Heavens to help you…The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you…’ (Deuteronomy 33:26-27 NLT) As you read the Bible you discover God did a lot of spectacular things for His people on mountaintops. On Mount Moriah, He met with Abraham and Isaac, revealing Himself as ‘Jehovah Jireh’, which basically means ‘the Lord will provide.’ On Mount Horeb, He spoke to Moses through a burning bush and changed the nation of Israel’s destiny. On Mount Sinai, He gave the Ten Commandments. On Mount Carmel, He sent down fire from heaven, consuming the prophets of Baal and turning the hearts of His people back to Him. But suddenly Moses made a shift in the middle of telling about this great God of high places. It is as though he was thinking, ‘I can’t leave these people with the thought that God is only on top; that He’s with us only when everything is going right.’ So he continued, ‘The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.’ The Hebrew word for ‘underneath’ means ‘bottom’. So it could be translated, ‘God’s arms are underneath you when you’re on the bottom.’ No matter how deep the valley you have to walk, God’s presence is deeper. It may feel like you are down today, but you cannot go so low that He is not there. Underneath you are His everlasting arms. The truth is: He’s not just the God of the top; He’s also the God of the bottom.

But thanks be to God who gives us the victory throught our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Cor 15:57[NKJV]

Are you aware that God had already done something to address every situation you will ever face in life? He has perfected in you everything it takes to walk through life victorious. He programmed every man in Christ for victory and success… That’s amzing!

Littele wonder, God is not perturbed when challenges come against you; nor is He ever disturbed when the enemy comes attacking with destructive fears, anxieties and worries. In fact, He gets overly excited when your confronted with the challenges of life. Do you know why? Because its an opportunity for Him to boast about you – about the all conquering life He has placed in you, and the testimony that will come forth from your trials.

Whatever challenges God allows to come your way is one that He is sure you can surmount (1 Cor 10:13). How else will He show you that He can turn seemingly impossible situations around if you don’t face them? The circumstances of life are only necessary to build you up and help you become the man you are supposed to be in Christ. Quit seeing them as obstacles and start seeing them as stepping stones to greater heights. Without the pressures of life,  you can never win the prizes of life. They are meant to put some ‘wins’ under your arm. The life in Christ is a life of total victory – all times and in all things. Glory to God!!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Eph 3:20
